EASY LOW CARB KETO ALFREDO SAUCE RECIPE – GLUTEN FREE


I was the world’s pickiest eater as a child. There were literally just two foods I couldn’t get enough of – eggs (that hasn’t changed!) and Fettuccine Alfredo. Since I started eating low carb and gluten-free, I haven’t had fettuccine noodles in a long while. But, I do have an easy low carb keto Alfredo sauce recipe that I make all the time!



The great thing about this easy Alfredo sauce is that it’s naturally low carb and keto, without any unusual ingredients. And, everyone will love it, even if they are not following a low carb diet. It pairs just fine with regular pasta for those that eat it, but for me, I stick with gluten-free and keto options.

6 cloves Garlic (minced)
1 1/2 cup Heavy cream
1/2 cup Grated parmesan cheese
Black pepper (to taste)

Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and saute for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
Add the heavy cream. Bring to a gentle simmer, then continue to simmer for about 5 minutes, until it begins to thicken and volume is reduced by about 1/3. (Amount of time will vary depending on the size of your saucepan.)

Reduce heat to low. Gradually whisk in the Parmesan cheese. Keep whisking over low heat, until smooth. If using nutmeg, sea salt, and/or black pepper, stir those in, to taste. (If sauce is thicker than you like, you can thin it out with more cream.)
